After my time at the Uni Open Day, Chris and I decided that we would go for a walk along the River Irwell.

Everything was going well. We decided to pop into Lowry Outlet to go to the toilet and to get a drink, and a group of lads decided to shout 'Queens' at us.

At the end of last year I wrote a blog about how a 'Kylie' Bad Taste Bear should be produced. After entering (and losing) a competition where I designed the bear, I ask Pete to draw me a proper Kylie sketch, which he did and I love.

At the time, there was a chance that the bear could go into production after receiving positive reviews from the Company.

At the end of last month I was given my letter to confirm that I am being made redundant at the end of July. Although I have known since November, it felt kinda weird receiving the letter. It really made it all official.

Part of the redundancy support, we are given two days off a week to sort our CV and apply for jobs, which is really useful and nice for the company to do. However, I did have to fight for these days off.

As I am going to uni, I was told that I wasn't entitled to the days off.

have never really wanted to do a marathon. However, I wanted to set myself a challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and this seemed to be the most logical thing to do.

If you have been reading my previous blogs you will have noticed that I have had a few problems with my knees which has really scuppered my training. This didn’t help with my enjoyment of running either. If I wasn’t doing the marathon I think I would have quit running by now.

Come race day, it was safe to say I was a little anxious. Apart from the knees, I wasn’t happy with the distance that I have ran in training. And to top it off, it’s was going to be a scorcher of a day, making the whole experience that little bit more unbearable. Nerves were starting to kick in.
